Pittsburg's Elks Lodge hosts first ever Elkland Games

Today's holiday starts off fun for some kids in Southeast Kansas.

The Elks Lodge of Pittsburg hosted its first ever Elkland Games this morning at Lincoln Park.

Among the games were a beanbag toss, dart toss, a disk game, Tic Tac Toe, and a ring toss.

Organizers plan on making it a yearly event.

"It's new this year and we're going to try to have stuff for the little kids to do and they're going to get really nice prizes and it'll keep them busy while Mom and Dad are shopping," says Theresa Kattner, the Elks Lodge Treasurer.  "I think we're going to add it to all the Elk's functions so, and hopefully every year it's going to get bigger and bigger."
