Joplin Schools receive a donation of $1,718 from the Lions Club.
The Lions Club raised the money through parking fees and presented a check to Joplin Schools on Thursday.
The funds will go toward the Joplin Consitution Team. That team won state titles the last two years and a trip to a national competition.
The team lost their materials in the tornado and with the help of the donation can now replace needed items.
"The main thing is to help out the schools and the school could use the money where it was needed and knowing Mr. Kazcmethy and the students that he teaches and helps coach this was a good place to put it," says Jerry Sitton of the Lions Club.
