Pittsburg man accused of cutting the throat of a Girard man

Authorities say they were called to the Pittsburg hospital overnight Thursday where they learned two men had been involved in an altercation in the 100 block of West 7th Street.

The victim received a 13 centimeter cut to his throat in the incident, and says it stemmed from an argument at the Break Pool Hall.

Early Friday afternoon a 33 year old Pittsburg man was taken into custody and transported to the Crawford County Jail.

Aggravated Battery charges are expected to be filed.
