More than 700 members of the Quapaw Tribe celebrate their Native American heritage during the tribe's 140th Pow Wow.
Tribe members say a lot of importance is placed on the tradition in order to keep it alive for younger generations.
The Pow Wow included food and Native American art and jewelry for sale.
"We come out here and dance, enjoy each others company, eat each others food and have a great time socializing," says Quapaw Tribe member Susan Panther Cole.
"Renew friendships, make new friends, it's just like a family gathering," says Quapaw Pow Wow Chairman Leonard Smith. "We invite people from all over and just try and invite them and take care of them."
The Quapaw Tribe Pow Wow is the longest running pow wow in the state of Oklahoma.
