Finishing touches were being made today to the National Bank building storefronts along 4th Street and Broadway in Pittsburg.
Professional faux painter Sue Robinson helped create a faux awning above each storefront.
It's all part of a project to beautify the downtown area by the Colonial Fox Theatre Foundation.
The planning for the faux awning started last year and is now finished.
"It recalls a time when there were awnings and there were pedestrians and there were people standing on the street enjoying the, the scape," says Vonnie Corsini of the Colonial Fox Foundation.
Robinson also painted the popcorn machine and movie screen on the side of the Colonial Fox Theatre.
