Time is running out to sign up for back to school assistance in Pittsburg.
The application process for back-to-school supplies at the Wesley House ends Friday.
Last year more than 800 children in Crawford County were helped through the collaborative efforts of the Wesley House and Salvation Army.
So far this year only a little more than 200 children have signed up.
"I think there's probably a lot more families out there that need assistance, but just haven't made it in for one reason or another," says Wesley House Director Ellie Foster. "Friday's our last day, so we need to get the word out."
The service is available only in Crawford County for kids from kindergarten through high school.
Families will also receive vouchers to buy at least one pair of jeans and tennis shoes.
The Wesley House is located on 12th Street in Pittsburg.
