The Coca-Cola Company broke ground Monday on a new distribution facility in Joplin that should create about 50 new jobs.
Missouri Governor Jay Nixon joined local officials and Coca-Cola representatives for the ceremony.
Coca-Cola a had planned to open a new distribution center in Joplin last year but after the tornado the company gave up its new space so it could be used as the site of a temporary middle school.
The company's new building is expected to be complete next year.
