9-11 Never Forget--Celebrating Our Military Heritage - KOAM TV 7

To commemorate the anniversary of 9/11 you are cordially invited to attend the Celebrating our Military Heritage 9/11 Never Forget 5-K Run/Walk and memorial service on Saturday, September 15th at the Veterans Memorial Amphitheater, 1090 S. Rouse Street, Pittsburg, KS 66762 (see map).

5-K Run/Walk

Ceremony

Starts at 10 a.m.  Ceremony with tribute to three fallen soldiers:  Cpl. David M. Unger, Sgt. Evan S. Parker and CW2 Bryan J. NOTE:  The ceremony may be moved to the Pittsburg Memorial Auditorium due to weather.

Student Essay Contest

Students:  What does Freedom mean to you?  As we commemorate the 11th anniversary of 9/11 we want to know in 500 words or less what Freedom means to you.  If we choose your essay you will have the honor of reading it at the Celebrating our Military Heritage 9/11 Never Forget remembrance memorial service on September 15 at PSU's Veterans Memorial Ampitheatre.
