Freeman to provide free physicals to area athletes

JOPLIN, Mo.—Freeman Rehabilitation and Sports Center will offer free annual preparticipation physical exams to an estimated 1,000 local high school and college athletes. The free physicals are available Monday, July 23 and Tuesday, July 24 at the newly constructed Freeman Rehabilitation and Sports Center, located at 2206 East 32nd Street.

For 21 years, Freeman has proudly provided this service to the community. More than 75 Freeman doctors, nurses, therapists, and clinicians volunteer their time and talent each night to assist with these annual physicals.

Parental consent is required for participation. Consent forms, available at Freeman Rehabilitation and Sports Center, may be signed at the time of the physical. Columbus High School

6:15 pm Sarcoxie High School 

Sarcoxie Middle School

6:30 pm Joplin High School (juniors and seniors)

7 pm Joplin High School (freshman and sophomores)

7:30 pm Joplin eighth grade students

8 pm Joplin seventh grade students

8:15 pm Children of Freeman Health System employees (middle school and high school students)

6 pm Baxter Springs High School

6:15 pm Baxter Springs Middle School

6:45 pm Riverton High School

7 pm Riverton Middle School

Bentonville, Arkansas and Poplar Bluff, Missouri will have the organizations that connect businesses, faith based groups and service partners to work with school districts to meet students needs including personal items like shoes to school supplies.
