The 22 year anniversary of the American Disabilities Act was celebrated today in Parsons, Kansas.
The free event took place in at the Parsons SKIL Resource Center because of a lawsuit which was filed against the city 14 years ago for inaccessibility. Since then the city has been at the forefront in accommodating those with disabilities.
The event featured a petting zoo, face painting, free hot dogs and many other fun things for kids.
The Parsons Police Department, Labette County Sheriff's Office and many political candidates attended the event.
