Thomann and Bowlin team up once again, this time at the professional level

JOPLIN -- Former Missouri Southern men's basketball players Skyler Bowlin and Keane Thomann have both ended up on the same team again as the duo will suit up for Horsens IC in Denmark.

Bowlin played professionally last fall in Germany, while suiting up this summer in Australia. Thomann will be making his professional debut with the team.

The last two MIAA Players of the Year, the duo teamed up to score 3,187 points in their four-year careers at Southern and rank fifth and sixth (Bowlin/Thomann) respectively in career scoring at the school.

"The Denmark thing came out of nowhere," Bowlin said. I saw Keane has signed and he told me his team was looking for a point guard so I told him to mention my name and see if they were interested. Luckily he and I have the same agent and he sent some film to the team and they liked it. It's going to be great teaming back up with him not only because he's a great player, but we are still very close friends as well. It will be a great experience and hopefully we can have a successful year with the club."

Thomann finished his career as one of the best big man to ever wear a Southern jersey. He finishes with the sixth-most points in a single season at Southern (646), while his scoring average of 21.5 this season is sixth-best as well. His single-season field goal percentage this season (.633) and his career average (.615) rank tops all-time in Southern history.

"Its an amazing opportunity to get to play with someone that I know as well as Skyler and its made even better by the fact that he is such a great player, as well," Thomann said.
