The owner of the closed Camptown Greyhound Park in Frontenac, Kansas is funding a new Political Action Committee that's helping moderate Republican candidates for state senate seats.
Phil Ruffin owns both the Camptown Park and the Wichita Greyhound Park.
A campaign finance report filed on Wednesday shows the new PAC called "Kansas Wins" received more than $144,000 from Ruffin.
Ruffin wants legislators to rewrite a 2007 law allowing slot machines at his dog tracks, arguing the law is not generous enough toward owners.
