Income surveys mailed to Parsons residents - KOAM TV 7

Income surveys mailed to Parsons residents

Updated:

The City of Parsons, Kansas is applying for Community Development Block Grant funds to help leverage local funds for sewer, street and housing repair projects.

In order to qualify for the CDBG grants an income survey is being mailed to each and every resident within the City of Parsons.

The survey will help to determine which sectors of the city will qualify for CDBG grant funding over the next 10 years for projects.

"In the past there are a variety of things you can do with the CDBG funding, but traditionally the City of Parsons uses it for sewer projects, for water infrastructure projects and for housing," says Kari West, the Public Information Officer for the City of Parsons.

For residents who do not respond there will be a door-to-door campaign to collect the information.
