Crowder College hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony today to announce they will be opening classes in Carthage, Missouri.
A variety of classes will be offered including general education and technical courses.
The college says the closer classes will help their Carthage students.
"We have learned over time that geography matters to students - if you can make it convenient for them from the start then they by and large have a much better chance of finishing," says Crowder College President Alan Marble. "We think it is very very important, that is why we are spreading out around the community. We are just delighted to be in Carthage."
Classes begin August 20.
