A national organization donates almost $100,000 to build a playground for Joplin's Head Start program.
Their mission - to build it in under six hours.
It wasn't Extreme Home Makeover, but a corporation called PNC worked with a non-profit group called Kaboom to build playgrounds across the country.
The Head Start facility was chosen because of its help with emergency child care in the wake of last year's tornado.
More than 250 volunteers showed up to help build the dream playground, ripped straight from the imagination of Head Start's children.
"We actually started two months ago, where we had a design day, and we asked the children if they could draw us their dream playground," says Kaboom project manager Naudy Martinez. "So the children came together, they drew us their dream playground, and their parents actually picked out individual pieces and colors for this play ground."
The project went so well the playground was finished over an hour ahead of schedule.
Head Start hopes the new playground will encourage all Joplin children to get out and play.
