Hundreds filled Grand Lake on Saturday hoping to win big at this years Great Grand Bobber Drop.
Boaters and jet skiers searched for more than 6,000 numbered bobbers - the right numbers connected to 1,500 prizes provided by local lake businesses.
It's the first year bobbers have been dropped in the lake by plane. Honey Creek Marina was one of the four spots boaters could find them.
While some boaters got luckier than others only two bobbers could be turned in to receive a prize.
Some locals say it's the Grove economy that really wins.
"I think it's excellent for the community and the businesses in town," says Grove resident JC Kinder. "You have people coming out here with a chance to win something so they are having a good time. While they are here they will buy something, so from a Chamber of Commerce standpoint I think it's an excellent thing and for the businesses here it's an excellent thing."
The owners of the Grand Lake Sports Center hosted the event. Again, prizes were donated by area businesses.
