Updated August 17 at 5:00 PM CST: The Bates County sheriffs office says Tyler Havens, 19, was found in a bedroom under two mattresses.
Havens was found at a home in Rockville, Missouri.
The Jasper County sheriff's department say a detective was questioning Havens in Joplin about identity theft when Havens shoved the detective and punched him in the face.
Authorities say Havens then ran from the house leading authorities on a manhunt Wednesday afternoon.
Officers searched on foot, and used K-9 units and a helicopter.
At one point Havens was spotted at a convenience store on West 7th and State Line Road but officers were unable to find him.
Police say havens had several warrants out of Bates County.
Today the Jasper County prosecutor's office also filed charges of resisting arrest.
Updated August 17 at 10:00 AM CST: Authorities tell us Tyler Havens, 19, was arrested yesterday in Bates County.
Charges of assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest are pending.
Updated August 16 at 1:30 PM CST: Tyler G. Havens, 19, is the name of the suspect the Jasper County sheriff's department has been searching for since an incident yesterday afternoon.
Authorities say a Jasper County detective went to a residence in west Joplin to question Havens on an identity theft case.
"During questioning, Havens shoved the Detective into a wall and hit him with a closed fist in the face," says a statement from the Jasper County Sheriff's Office.
Havens then ran from the home.
Authorities say Havens has three active warrants for probation violation in Bates County.
The detective assaulted on Wednesday received minor injuries and has been treated.
Charges of assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest are pending.
Updated August 15 at 6:05 PM CST: Authorities tell us they will continue patrolling the area, but have called off the active search for the suspect.
No word on when or if authorities will resume the active search.
Authorities tell us the suspect has preexisting warrants out for his arrest.
Posted August 15, 2012 at 4:30 PM CST: The Jasper County sheriff's office tells us a law enforcement officer approached an individual this afternoon on suspicion of committing identity theft. When the officer confronted the suspect, the suspect assaulted the officer and took off on foot.
The sheriff's office tells us the suspect ran from a mobile home park just off West 7th and Malang Road between Galena and Joplin.
Officials are searching a nearby area with K-9 units and a helicopter.
