Today is the first day of school for Joplin Area Catholic Schools.
Elementary students arrived early for classes at the school created from a renovated warehouse after last year's tornado.
An art-music room was converted to a classroom as the space is already tight.
Parents came armed with cameras for those first day pictures and say kids are ready for school.
"This year is going to be another great year here at Saint Mary's and my child - both of my children - are super excited to be coming back this year," says Lauren Brown, the Home & School President.
Church and school committees are now developing plans for the future and discussing what to rebuild first.
