The City of Joplin hosted a press conference today highlighting the work of community partners in helping with the tornado recovery.
Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri was the highlight of the meeting.
The organization has repaired over 100 homes, rebuilt five homes, and they have more building projects planned, as well as adding a family strengthening program which will include financial counseling.
"Many of the clients that we are serving right now in Joplin have special needs that are going to take longer to address and to help them on a path to recovery," says Maura Taylor of Catholic Charities.
