The Carl Junction High School Building Trades program helped build a home for a family who lost theirs in last years tornado.
Today Kim Jones and her family were given keys to their new home thanks to the program and the Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity.
It's the second home Habitat for Humanity has built with the Carl Junction School's Building Trades department.
Jones says she's just happy for the opportunity to own a home.
"The house that we're living in, we are cramped in anyway," says Jones. "And when you are renting you're just throwing your money away, so yeah, the opportunity to own a home and pay maybe less than what I was paying in rent, absolutely, I jumped on that."
Habitat partner families can purchase their home on a 20 year mortgage at 0% interest.
