Two school buses are donated to two organizations in Southwest Missouri. The minibuses came from New York and were donated to Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri and Joplin Area Catholic Schools.
The drivers were welcomed today by students on the parking lot of McAuley Catholic High School.
One bus will be used to transport equipment and supplies to and from construction sites in Joplin. The other bus will be used for students.
Renee Motazedi of Joplin Area Catholic Schools says she was inspired by the donation.
"The generosity is so touching, just the sacrifice that they make to come here to make sure we have something that can help us for the Catholic education in Joplin," says Motazedi.
The minibuses are part of a bus donation program started by John Corr, Junior, President of Trans Group in Spring Valley, New York.
Trans Group also donated three buses to Joplin Area Catholic Schools last year after the tornado.
