Suspect arrested in Jukebox Night Club fatal shooting

Updated August 23, 2012: Andre Brown, 21, was arrested earlier this week in Kansas City, Missouri for the shooting death of Charles Tumbleson at a Joplin nightclub.
Authorities say Brown is now in custody at the Newton County jail.
Brown is charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action.
His next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday.

Updated August 21, 2012: A popular Four State nightclub closes its doors while the suspect in a weekend shooting outside the club is arrested in Kansas City late Monday night.
Andre Brown, 21, is charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action for an early Sunday morning shooting at Joplin's Jukebox Night Club.
Yesterday Joplin Police detectives received a tip that Brown had fled to Kansas City, Missouri. Officers there took Brown into custody shortly after 11 p.m.
Authorities are still investigating how the suspect got to Kansas City.
Brown, also known as Damon Williams, is accused of shooting and killing Charles Tumbleson, 26.
According to the police report the two had an ongoing feud. Witnesses say Brown shot Tumbleson six times in the parking lot. Tumbleson was taken to Freeman Hospital where he later died.
Today we spoke with the owners of Jukebox. They say they are closing the nightclub for the safety of its patrons and staff but do plan to reopen in the future.
Posted August 20, 2012: Charges are filed against a suspect involved in a fatal shooting over the weekend in Joplin.
The Joplin Police Department says the suspect is Andre Brown, age 21, also known as Andre Palmer or Damon Williams. There's a warrant for first degree murder and armed criminal action.
The suspect is not in custody at this time.
Police say they received a call at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday to respond to a shooting at the Jukebox Night Club.
Authorities say Charles Tumbleson, 26, was shot outside the bar and transported to Freeman Hospital. He died of multiple gun shot wounds.
Police say about 400 people were at the scene of the crime.
"We'll hold the scene out there, then we've activated the Tri State Major Case Squad and we're following up right now on about close to a hundred leads, so we ask that if anyone have any information that will help in our investigation to go ahead and call us," says Sgt. Chad Allison of the Joplin Police Department.
