McDonald County man shot in the face; authorities searching for suspect

Updated August 27, 2012:  Authorities have released a photo of the Noel, Missouri man they're searching for in connection with a Friday shooting in Noel.

Police say Jahib "Buck" Rafle, 22, of Noel and the Kansas City area shot Ahmed Mohamed Abdi in the face, sending him to the hospital.

The victim says four men entered his home and assaulted him before Rafle shot him.

Posted August 24, 2012 - news release issued by McDonald County Sheriff's Office:

McDonald County Sheriff's Office and Noel Police Department are currently investigating the shooting of a Noel man that happened around 0530 a.m. this morning, 8-24-2012, at an apartment at the east edge of Noel.

Ahmed Mohamed Abdi of Noel was transported to a Joplin Hospital early this morning after suffering a gunshot wound to the face.

Abdi and witnesses reported that four Somali men came into his home, assaulted him and then shot him once in the jaw.  After the shooting, the assailants fled the scene.

Abdi was treated and released.

Detectives are currently seeking Jajib "Buck" Rafle, 22, from Noel and the Kansas City area, for questioning in connection with the shooting.  

Anyone with any information about Rafle's whereabouts are asked to contact Detective Brandon Barrett with the McDonald County Sheriff's Office.
