Frontenac police chief accused of hitting a man while off duty

The Crawford County Sheriff's Office received a call at 12:15 Saturday morning reporting that Frontenac Police Chief Randy Flora hit someone in the face at Santino's Sports Bar at 212 East McKay Street in Frontenac, Kansas.

Two individuals, Jason Hipful and Russell Knaup got into an altercation when Chief Flora, who was off duty at the time, got involved and hit Hipful.

Hipful was transported to Via Christi Hospital.

The incident is still under investigation.
