Parsons Police cracking down on underage drinking

Updated:

News release issued by City of Parsons

PARSONS, KS – In an undercover operation that occurred from 7 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday night, the Parsons Police Department busted seven businesses for selling alcohol to underage individuals.

"We have received numerous complaints raised by citizens that prompted the undercover investigation," said Parsons Police Chief, Scott Gofourth. "With the results from last night's bust, businesses need to recognize their responsibility to verify the age of buyers before selling alcohol. It's 21 or none. It's the law."

This case has been turned over to the City Attorney's Office for review.
