A ceremony at Con-Way Truckload was held today in Joplin to recognize the company's recent commitment to the U.S. Army Pays Program for hiring Army soldiers.
The Pays Program is designed to provide priority hiring status to qualified soldiers during and after completion of their Army service.
"To know that you can come out of your military service and still have a future and be able to start another career all over again with a company that values the same values that you've been instilled with since your first day in the military, it's very comforting to know," says Captain Marybeth Griffin of the U.S. Army.
There are more than 1,500 businesses nationwide participating in the program.
