The 28th annual Little Balkans Days Festival in Pittsburg begins today despite the rain.
Events are scheduled throughout the three day celebration, some of them inside, but as always much of the festival is planned for outdoors.
The only event canceled so far is the Tallgrass Film Festival which was supposed to take place tonight.
Little Balkans Day Association President Brett Dalton says a lot of vendors signed up despite risk of rain.
"It's an outdoor festival and you know what you are getting into with that," says Dalton. "We appreciate that so many vendors have signed up even with the threat of rain. Still most of them, or I think all of them are planning to be here."
Organizers say they are waiting to see if the rain tapers off before canceling other events.
