$625k grant for Alliance of Southwest Missouri

A $625,000 grant has been awarded to a non-profit organization in Missouri.

The grant comes from a drug-free communities support program.  The Office of National Drug Control Policy announced $7.9 million in grants for 60 communities across the country.

The Alliance of Southwest Missouri was one of the grant recipients.

They'll get the funds over a five year period to involve and engage their local community in efforts to prevent substance use among youth.
