Former MSSU football player pleads not guilty to involuntary manslaughter

A former freshman football player at Missouri Southern plead not guilty to two counts of involuntary manslaughter today.

Jeremy Johnson is accused of killing two of his teammates in a crash last December.

Authorities say Johnson was intoxicated when his SUV rolled and collided with a tractor trailer on Interstate 44 between Joplin and Springfield.

Passengers Diondre Johnson and Michael McCrimmons were both killed in the crash.
