An FCC commissioner who grew up in Parsons, Kansas returns to the area and tours the KOAM-TV studios.
Ajit Pai became a commissioner just this past spring.
We asked Pai about a new FCC program to let people test the speeds of their mobile broadband connections. It's intended to help the commission determine if service providers are living up to their promises.
"One of the things that is important to me in particular coming from a rural area is making sure that people in Pittsburg and Parsons and other parts of the Four State area have access to the fastest speeds that are available," Pai says.
Pai graduated from Parsons High School in 1990 and has degrees from Harvard and the University of Chicago.
