Joplin Metro Credit Union receives national recognition

The Joplin Metro Credit Union earned a national recognition today.

The credit union won the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award which recognizes efforts to materially improve their customers lives through community outreach.

Officials say when Joplin was reeling from last year's tornado the Joplin Metro Credit Union stepped in to help those in need.
