Grove, Oklahoma holds its first ever Oktoberfest

Updated:

The Grove, Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce put on its first ever Oktoberfest at Honey Creek State Park on Saturday.

The event was set up as a fun Fall activity for the town and also a fundraiser for the local chamber.

Activities included children games, local vendors and food as well as beer and polka music.

"I've never really been to an Oktoberfest, just researched them a little bit, and met with several committees around the state to see what worked best for them and so that's the part I'm looking forward to," says Lisa Friden, the President of the Grove Area Chamber of Commerce.

Grove plans to make Oktoberfest an annual event in the town.
