Salon makes donation to Southwest Missouri schools

Oasis Salon and Day Spa gave $1,000 to schools in Joplin, Carthage and Seneca on Tuesday.

The money was raised a number of ways including from donations from customers, proceeds from sales and a recycling program.

They also held a school supply drive over the summer and donated those supplies collected to area schools.

The Salon says they will try to give back as often as they can.

"We're trying to kind of continually do a monthly or quarterly drive that we can give back to the city and we've had great response it's just our privilege to get to give back to them," says Haley Carter of Oasis Salon and Day Spa.
