Pittsburg State University's College of Technology hosts its annual Company Day to help get students job offers and internship opportunities.
Before 2008, more than 100 companies would show up for the event. Then it dropped with the economy.
But recently the number started to increase and more jobs are being offered.
Crossland Construction has been a part of Company Day from the beginning. Crossland Vice President Todd Ketterman says this is the company's largest recruiting events.
"We're really fortunate, right now we have a record backlog so we are in the hiring mode," says Ketterman. "We're in the hiring mode not just for construction management. We're in the hiring mode for accounting - I mean all of our support staff's are growing as well. We've opened an office in Oklahoma City and one in Denver, Colorado, so those need support as well so we're definitely in the hiring mode."
