Covers for a Cause hosted by Show Me the Ozarks magazine

"Show Me the Ozarks" magazine held its 3rd annual Show Me magazine "Covers for a Cause", pink carpet event at Upstairs Boutique in Joplin today.

For $15 folks had their picture taken and received a printout of their picture on the magazine cover.

All the proceeds are donated to the Hope 4 You Breast Cancer Foundation.

They also had some costume wear for those getting their picture taken like pink hats and feather boas.

Last year the event raised $1,000 and organizers say that money is put to good use.

"Hope 4 You then raises thousands upon thousands of dollars a year and then they give it out to the different organizations throughout our communities that go out and help the women," says Deb Allison of Upstairs Boutique.
