Freeman unveils additions to Center for Geriatric Medicine

Freeman Health System unveiled some of its new additions to its Center for Geriatric Medicine on Monday.

The expansion includes new examination rooms and an infusion room, where IV's are given.

Freeman wants the center to be a "one stop shop" for the elderly in the area.

"We see patients from Oklahoma, Kansas, as well as Missouri, and a few from Arkansas," says Dr. Henry D. Petry.  "Our service area is not just in the Joplin area, it extends out pretty far."

Freeman is also looking at adding a nurse practitioner.
