The 5th annual Farm Heritage Celebration got underway Friday in Parsons, Kansas. Today was School Kids Day.
Nearly 800 fourth and fifth graders from the area attended the celebration and checked out some of the antique farm machines. There were also owls and other birds on display, an actress telling stories as Laura Ingalls Wilder and horse drawn hay rides.
"I feel like this is a great opportunity for our children at our school and we are very thankful that this is provided for us by the city of Parsons," says Girard third grade teacher Donna Martin.
The celebration lasts through Saturday.
