Joplin's new Mercy Breast Center held an opening house and ribbon cutting on Friday at Thousand Oaks Surgery Center.
Guests were able to take a guided tour.
Mercy's Breast Center was destroyed in last years tornado and in the meantime had been operating from Mercy McCune Brooks Hospital in Carthage.
The facility will serve as a temporary location until the replacement hospital opens in March of 2015.
"It feels great and I can tell you our patients are really enjoying it," says Dr. Curt Dandridge Jr. of Mercy Breast Center. "We have had patients waiting to get in here and get their mammogram's done."
A Breast Cancer Awareness breakfast will be held the 25th in the Carthage Water and Electric Company community room.
