In Joplin, peaceful protesters met on range line, raising signs against abortion. Members of more than a dozen Churches created a life chain. They held signs stating "abortion kills children", "adoption is a loving option" and "pray for our country".
Life chain is a national event held every year. The local coordinator says its an hour spent, to call attention to lives impacted by abortion, especially those cut short.
"Infants in even in the womb are still children and that abortion hurts women 45 that's I mean its not just about that abortion kills children it affects women too there are a lot of women too who are testimony to there is forgiveness after that we are not condemning women who've had abortions already 109", says Camellia Plosser.
Participants could also sign a petition stating that life begins at conception, that will be sent to Congressman Billy Long.
