Breast Cancer Walk in Carl Junction, MO

Updated:

Hundreds gather at the Carl Junction High School track to show their support on the fight against breast cancer. The high school's Future Business Leaders of America and Carl Junction C.A.R.E.S. hosted the event. Walkers wore pink clothing, pink hair extent ions and had pink balloons to carry. A mobile van also provided Mammogram's.

Organizer Gary Stubblefield says it's important to do events like this and show your support.

"When we do events like this, the self exam, annual mammogram's, people are getting the message and they're discovering things, in time that they can get it licked and become a survivor rather than a victim" says Stubblefield.

Both the Hope For You Breast Cancer Foundation and The Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks received a$500 donation.

Next Saturday there will be a zumbathon at the Carl Junction High School from 9:00AM to 12:00PM.
