Chocolate Extravaganza raises funds for group who grants last wishes for terminally ill

The Chocolate Extravaganza was held Thursday at the Joplin Holiday Inn convention center.

The event is a fundraiser to benefit the Dream Team, a program granting last wishes for terminally ill people.

The event featured an array for chocolates, cakes and other desserts participants could sample or buy.

There was also a silent auction and a judging contest for the best chocolate.

The local Dream Team has granted more than 80 requests since 2010.
