Storm Damage near Columbus, KS

Updated:

Saturday night storms damage the property for a south east Kansas resident.  The roof of a 1920's barn at a property, was blown off, four miles west of Baxter Springs on Highway 166. Trees in the area were also torn down and children's toys were strewn across the property. The report came in around 7:00 p.m. With hazard warnings of 60 MPG winds in the area.

"We were shocked when we came home to see the damage that we did have, we have a few limbs down in the back yard, but nothing major, but we must have had pretty high winders because there's a piece on the front that is kind of torn off, and then this on the back of the barn" says Columbus resident Cathy Metcalf.

So far there have been no other damage reports from the storm.
