Miami, Oklahoma residents honored some former British Air Force pilots today.
The city hosted a British Flyers Remembrance Ceremony to honor 15 Royal Air Force pilots killed in training accidents while attending the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Miami in the early 1940's.
Those pilots are buried in the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery where the event is held.
"It really does bring, bring it home, what these young men have done for us in the past and what they continue to do in the present and, I'm sure, in the future," says Squadron Leader Gary Beech of the Royal Air Force.
Nearly 1,500 cadets at the school earned their pilot's wings.
