Badges & Burgers fundraiser in Pittsburg

The second annual Badges & Burgers fundraiser was held Wednesday at the Pritchett Pavilion in Pittsburg.

Members of the fire department manned the grill and police officers helped where they were needed.

All proceeds for the event went to the United Way of Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas.

"It's a great opportunity for our community to come together and to support United Way and just to get together and it's a great day for a fundraiser," says Pittsburg Police Chief Mendy Hulvey.

The United Way says they are on track to raise their campaign goal of $1.3 million by December to help the Four State area.
