The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Joplin held an open house today.
The event was to showcase their new church built because their old church was destroyed in last year's tornado after standing 50 years.
The new church is 21,000 square feet, which is 25% bigger than their old building.
"It's wonderful, it's a culmination of a dream from the beginning of the destruction of the tornado to be back in," says Creed Jones, Stake President with Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
The church sold some of its land to other churches to raise the money to build the new church.
