Carthage Police Officer Assaulted with Cell Phone

Around 12:20 A.M. the Carthage Police Department had officers conducting compliance checks downtown, when they saw 31 year old Joshua Clark physically assaulting a 32 year old woman, in a parking lot near 4th and Howard Street. 

While police tried to arrest Clark for domestic assault, the woman threw a cell phone at one of the officers noses.

Clark in being held at the Carthage Jail for a charge of 3rd degree domestic assault.

Police are seeking 2nd degree assault of a law enforcement officer, on the woman.

The officer suffers from a fractured nose and minor contusions to his face.
