Toyota presents $100,000 to Rebuild Joplin

Rebuild Joplin and Toyota held a celebration today for a home being given to a tornado survivor who's home was destroyed in last year's tornado.

As part of the celebration Rebuild Joplin announced a partnership between Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing North American.

Toyota also presented a $100,000 check to Rebuild Joplin.

Toyota has also worked with Rebuild Joplin the past six months in an effort to help them be more efficient.

"Reduce the amount of time that we've had to spend on build, the houses they have increased our fund raising opportunities families in Joplin are getting home much much sooner thanks to their help in our community," says Andy Perigo of Rebuild Joplin.

Rebuild Joplin says thanks to Toyota they have reduced construction time on homes by about three weeks.
