U.S. 71 overpass north of Nevada opens

A new overpass on U.S. 71 Highway in north Vernon County, Missouri opened today - five weeks earlier than expected.

The bridge allows drivers on U.S. 71 to cross above the Missouri-North Arkansas Railroad tracks north of Nevada.

The $4.6 million project was originally scheduled to be completed on December 1.
