Four state seniors get down dancing to country music at the Carl Junction Senior Center.

The second and fourth Sunday every month seniors from Joplin to Arma gather in Carl Junction to dance their blues away.

The event started in September and the three dollar entry fee includes three hours of dancing and free coffee. Organizers say they requested the events be held in at the senior center after the Veteran of Foreign Wars Hall stopped having dances in Pittsburg, Kansas.  The music is mostly country, and sometimes includes a live band.
