Authorities say a man killed in a weekend shootout with police in New York was from Delaware County, Oklahoma.
Binghamton, New York police responded to a hotel early Sunday morning after a report of shots fired.
According to authorities, Michael Spohn, 40, of Jay, pulled a gun from his pickup and shot an officer in the leg and another in the arm before being killed by return fire in the hotel parking lot. Authorities say a dozen officers were involved and around 100 shots were fired.
Authorities say Spohn was an Oklahoma welder working in the Pennsylvania gas industry.
